NSSF and NMA Sign MoU to Promote Preschool Sports Nationwide
Friday 23rd of January 2026The Nepal School Sports Federation (NSSF) and the Nepal Montessori Association (NMA), the first Montessori governing body of Nepal, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on January 23, 2026, to strengthen the development and organization of preschool sports programs across Nepal.
Under the agreement, NMA member schools will collaborate with NSSF to promote structured preschool sports initiatives, including multi-sports preschool games, Kinder Olympic programs, school sports days, early childhood physical activities, sports awareness programs, and the integration of sports science–based learning. The partnership also focuses on capacity-building for preschool educators through training, workshops, and resource sharing, while ensuring safe, inclusive, and age-appropriate sports participation for young learners.
The MoU was signed by Mr. Binod Shrestha, President of NSSF, and Ms. Pawitra Limbu, President of NMA, at the NMA office in Lalitpur, in the presence of NSSF Vice President Mr. Mohan Kumar Karki, Secretary General Mr. Raj Kumar Karki, and members of the Nepal Montessori Association.
