Pre School Games 2026

The first edition of the Preschool Games 2082, targeting preschool children, was jointly organized by the Nepal School Sports Federation (NSSF), Godavari Municipality, and the Association of Preschool Educators Nepal (APEN)-Godawari on 14the March 2026.

The games concluded on Saturday at a special program at the Dasharath Stadium track and field. The games consisted of four categories: PT music, Zumba dance, hula hoop, taekwondo performance, and various sports activities.

The federation said that around 750 children competed. Parents were very excited to celebrate their children's sports skills while sitting in the audience stands. Children of various age groups studying at preschool and primary levels enthusiastically participated in the games. The preschool games were officially launched with the march past.

Students from participating schools marched past the national flag, the flag of the National Sports Council, the banner of the program, and the flag of the federation. Federation President Binod Shrestha and Secretary General Rajkumar Karki said that it is necessary to play sports from the primary level for the development of sports.

On the occasion of the inauguration, National Sports Council (NSC) Executive Board Member Ranjana Pradhan, Tribhuvan University Professors Dr. Ramkrishna Maharjan and Prof. Pashupati Adhikari, Federation Vice President Mohan Kumar Karki, and PABSON Secretary General RB Katwal, along with officials from various sports associations, were present.

NSC Executive Board Member Subarna Shrestha, Federation Secretary General Karki, and event coordinator Pabin Jung Thapa presented awards to the preschool game winners. The organizers stated that they organized the Preschool Games to foster children's interest in sports and promote sports culture from an early age.
