Rt. Hon. President Ram Chandra Paudel Unveils Kinder Olympic Torch and Mascot

Kathmandu, Nepal — The Kinder Olympic Torch, mascot, and T-shirt of the upcoming Kinder Olympic Games taking place from this December 27 to 30 at Dasharath Stadium at Tripureshwor, Kathmandu, were officially unveiled by His Excellency the Right Honourable President of Nepal, Mr. Ram Chandra Paudel, in a special ceremony held at the Office of the President, Maharajgunj, on December 19, 2025.

At a special program organized at the Office of the President-Sheetal Niwas, President Paudel flamed and handed over the Olympic torch to Binod Shrestha, President of the Nepal School Sports Federation. The Federation and NSSF Kinder Olympic Committee are jointly organizing the sport events where more than 4000 students from preschool will demonstrate in 12 different sports disciplines.

The unveiling ceremony marked a significant milestone in the journey of the Kinder Olympic, a flagship school sports program dedicated to promoting sportsmanship, physical fitness, and holistic development among young children across Nepal. The torch and mascot symbolize unity, discipline, fair play, and the spirit of youth sports.

During the ceremony, on behalf of the president's office, an official emphasized the importance of sports in early childhood development and highlighted the role of school sports in building a healthy, disciplined, and responsible generation. He appreciated the efforts made by the organizers in institutionalizing school-level sports through the Kinder Olympic.

Youth and Sports Minister Honorable Bablu Gupta, National Sports Council Executive Board Member Ranjana Pradhan, officials from the Nepal School Sports Federation (NSSF), delegates of educational institutions (PABSON, N-PABSAN, and APEN), and other distinguished guests were present on the occasion. Mr. Shrestha, President of the NSSF, expressed sincere gratitude to the Rt. Hon. President for his support and encouragement toward school sports and child-centered athletic programs.

The Kinder Olympic Torch, unveiled at the President’s Office, represents inspiration, perseverance, and national pride, while the mascot reflects child-friendly values, inclusiveness, and enthusiasm, core principles of the Kinder Olympic movement.

The Kinder Olympic, organized under the leadership of NSSF, aims to provide a safe, structured, and joyful sports environment for preschool and primary-level children, fostering early exposure to sports culture in alignment with national and international sporting values.

The unveiling ceremony at the Office of the President has added prestige and national recognition to the Kinder Olympic, reinforcing Nepal’s commitment to nurturing young talent and promoting sports as a vital component of education.

नेपाल विद्यालय खेलकुद महासंघ (NSSF) को आयोजनामा सञ्चालन हुने किन्डर ओलम्पिक प्रारम्भिक बालशिक्षा तहका बालबालिकालाई लक्षित एक राष्ट्रिय खेलकुद कार्यक्रम हो । अनावरण गरिएको टर्चले प्रेरणा, निरन्तरता र राष्ट्रिय गौरवको प्रतिनिधित्व गर्दछ भने मस्कटले बालमैत्री, उत्साह र समावेशी मूल्यलाई झल्काउँछ ।
कार्यक्रममा खेलकुदलाई शिक्षासँग जोड्दै बालबालिकाको स्वस्थ भविष्य निर्माणमा यसको भूमिका महत्वपूर्ण रहेको विषय राष्ट्रपति कार्यालयका एक अधिकारीले बताउनुभयो ।
कार्यक्रममा युवा तथा खेलकुद मन्त्री माननीय बब्लु गुप्ता, राखेप कार्यकारी बोर्ड सदस्य रंजना प्रधान, NSSF का पदाधिकारी, किन्डर ओलम्पिक कमिटि, संस्थागत सदस्य तथा शैक्षिक संगठनका प्रतिनिधिहरूको उपस्थिति रहेको थियो । राष्ट्रपति कार्यालयमै भएको अनावरण समारोहले किन्डर ओलम्पिकलाई थप राष्ट्रिय महत्व र विश्वसनीयता प्रदान गरेको NSSF ले जनाएको छ ।
